Parking Permits


Customers may purchase monthly subscriptions for parking in designated on street locations and garages. Permits may be issued as garage Key Cards, decals, or tag based electronic permits for on street locations. Customers will be required to create an account on the MPA web site and maintain a valid credit card on file. Monthly permits will be billed to the customer credit card on approximately the 15th of each month for service in the following month. Customers wishing to cancel a subscription must notify customer service prior to the service start date.


In accordance with the Restricted Residential Parking Program Directive, MPA offers restricted residential parking decals in designated neighborhoods for an annual fee of $25.00. Proof of residency and vehicle registration will be required for eligibility for personal vehicles only. Meter Rentals

Rental Policy

As the stewards of all City controlled on-street parking spaces within the City of Miami, Miami Parking Authority rents On-Street parking meters and other on-street spaces to interested parties including restaurants, valet parking companies, film crews, construction companies, non-profit agencies, City Departments and private individuals for special event purposes. Miami Parking Authority reserve the right to deny any request that is deemed not in the interest of the general public.

Meter Rental (Online Meter Rental Request)

On-Street parking spaces are rented on a daily basis. The daily rate varies depending on the use. Space rentals for Valet operations are $20 per space per day. Rentals for any other use are $30 per day. Both carry a $50 administrative fee per rental order.

In order to rent any meter, a requisition must be filled out at Miami Parking Authority’s Customer Service Department, located at 40 N.W. 3rd Street (Ground Floor) or online. The name, address and telephone number of a contact person is required. The location and the serial meter number to be rented is also necessary.

The total amount for the parking meter rental MUST BE PRE-PAID. Cash, cashier’s check, money orders and Master Card or Visa are accepted. Payments made by company check should be received (7) seven business days prior to the date of the meter space rental and made payable to Miami Parking Authority. For Online rental requests, First time users must register prior to placing a request and only Master Card or Visa payments are accepted. All meter rental requests are subject to approval. Submission and payment for a Meter Rental Request online is not a guarantee that the request will be approved.

The requisition for the meter space rental must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Parking meters spaces are reserved the night before the event takes place by enforcement officer. The enforcement office is also responsible for removing the reserved meter signage.

When reserved meter parking is purchased for the Coconut Grove area, the purchaser must have a permit signed by the Coconut Grove NET office located at 2820 McFarlane Road and the Miami Parking Authority Customer Service Manager must be notified.

Many facilities in urban areas where parking spaces are sold on a monthly basis do not provide monthly parking for motorcycles. Miami Parking Authority has a special Motorcycle Parking Program in its College Station Garage (Garage #3) located at 190 NE 3rd St, Miami, FL 33132.

This is a customer service initiative that enables motorcycle owners to park in Garage #3 for a reduced rate. MPA administer the program through the tag number and billed accounts receivables.

Only Authorized Motorcycles is allowed to park in Garage #3. The motorcycle’s tag number is the parking credential and it is not be transferable. There will be a designated area in the garage for motorcycle parking only to facilitate the enforcement of this program. Enforcement personnel will verify that the tag number is valid for the current month and that the motorcycle is parked in the appropriate location. All motorcycles parked outside of the designated motorcycle parking area, registered or not, will be cited. The motorcycle location will be on the NW Center on 4th floor next to the Loft exit area. All spaces will be identified by signage.

The barrier gates used to control the entrance and exit of vehicles are not designed to accommodate motorcycles. Therefore motorcycle drivers must not enter the facility by using a parking key card or by pulling a ticket. The gate may come down and cause injury. There will be dedicated lanes to enter and exit the garage.

Motorcycles must enter the garage in the NE 3rd Street Entrance right lane and exit the garage using the NE 3rd Street exit lane by going around the gate. If this procedure is not followed the motorcyclist will be unable to exit the garage and motorcycle parking privileges will be suspended.

To register a motorcycle for this program notify customer service at (305) 373-6789 or come into the administrative office at 40 NW 3rd St, Miami, FL 33128, 15 days in advance of the start date for motorcycle parking.

If there is a tag change or the customer wishes to terminate the service notify customer service immediately. Failure to do so may result in additional charges or enforcement action.

The preferred method of payment for this monthly parking program is by enrolling in the automatic payment program. The monthly rate per motorcycle is $40.00 per month including sales tax and surcharge. Contact Customer Service for availability and details.

Special leasing arrangements for MPA surface lots and garages are also available for special events and temporary uses.
