The Miami Parking Authority (MPA) has been monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) from federal, state, and local health officials. We have and will continue to implement safety recommendations and swiftly activate all of our resources, based on the directives provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and local health department. The safety and well-being of our staff and customers is of the utmost importance. To that end, the MPA stands ready and prepared for the local impact of the COVID-19. We have a plan in place to mitigate any possible spread and to keep our facilities clean and operational, as needed.

As of today, these are the following measures that have been implemented:

• We have suspended the enforcement of regular metered parking and are only enforcing prohibited parking areas and safety zones in order to maintain the safety of the public.
• We have set aside a number of on-street spaces in high-demand commercial areas, free of charge, for vehicles picking up and delivering food and other essential items to customers. The program is being rolled out immediately throughout the downtown core, with other commercial areas expected to be added within the next couple of days.
• All MPA facilities remain open in order to accommodate those customers that are still conducting business in the city.
• We are regularly cleaning and sanitizing all touch points in all our facilities including, but not limited to, elevators, pay on foot machines, handrails, door handles, charging stations, among others.
