The Board of Directors of Miami Parking Authority (MPA) just announced the appointment of Larry M. Spring as member of the board. Mr. Spring filled the vacancy created by the passing of longtime board member, Mr. Arthur Hertz.
“Larry is an accomplished professional with extensive knowledge of, and experience in, the public and private sectors,” said Arthur “Art” Noriega, Chief Executive Officer of Miami Parking Authority. “He brings a strong financial background and an invaluable insight into the issues of importance to the Miami community.”
Currently, Mr. Spring serves as City Manager of the City of North Miami as well as the Executive Director of the City’s Community Redevelopment Agency. Previously, he was Corporate Director Productivity and Decision Support at Jackson Health Systems and served as Chief Financial Officer for the City of Miami.
Mr. Spring holds a Bachelor of Science in Management degree with major in Accounting from Tulane University. He is a Certified Public Accountant.
His professional and civic involvement include memberships in the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, National Forum for Black Public Administrators, Government Finance Officers Association, Member of Class II, Miami Foundation’s Miami Fellows Leadership Development Past Polemarch and the Richmond-Perrine Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
