The Board and staff of Miami Parking Authority (MPA) is deeply saddened by the loss of long-time board member, Mr. Arthur H. Hertz, yesterday afternoon.
“Mr. Hertz served on the MPA Board with distinction for a little more than thirty years. He was highly respected for his ability to distill complex financial issues into easy-to-understand concepts. But, beyond his many business qualities, he was a gentleman and a man of his word. Mr. Hertz was a man of impeccable ethics and he expected our board to maintain those ethics,” said Dr. Thomas “Tom” Jelke, Chairman of the Board of MPA.
On behalf of the Board and the MPA staff, we wish to offer our most sincere condolences to the Hertz family in this very difficult time. Our thoughts and prayers are with them as well as all of those whose lives were touched by Art Hertz’s generosity.
“Our community has lost a great man. Mr. Hertz was a visionary, a leader, a mentor and a loyal friend. His deep love and commitment to the betterment of our community is palpable in the many organizations and causes that he championed throughout his life. He will be sorely missed,” stated Arthur “Art” Noriega, Chief Executive Officer of MPA.
