Honoring Arthur H. Hertz


Today, the Board and staff of Miami Parking Authority recognized Mr. Arthur H. Hertz, devoted family man, accomplished entrepreneur, philanthropist and dedicated civic leader for his extraordinary contributions to the Miami community.

Family, friends and colleagues gathered this morning at the offices of Miami Parking Authority in downtown Miami to celebrate the naming of S.W. 16th Street between S.W. 37th Avenue and S.W. 32nd Avenue Arthur H. Hertz Way.  A dedication made possible by Miami-Dade County and the City of Miami, this is a fitting tribute to a great Miamian, who silently, has done so much for the betterment of our community.


About Arthur H. Hertz

Mr. Arthur H. Hertz is Chairman of the Board & CEO, Wometco Enterprises, Inc., based in Coral Gables. Mr. Hertz graduated cum laude with a BA degree from the University of Miami in 1955. He is a member of Phi Kappa Phi and Phi Eta Sigma, both scholastic honor fraternities; Omicron Delta Kappa, national honorary leadership fraternity; and Iron Arrow, the highest honor that can be bestowed on a University of Miami graduate. He is a certified public accountant in the State of Florida.
